I started working with selective test families after seeing how little support was available for the writing component specifically. Most tutoring centres focus on multiple choice — thinking skills and maths — but writing accounts for roughly 25% of the total score and is the one area where a prepared student can pull significantly ahead of an equally capable but unprepared one.

In conversations with families, I kept seeing the same pattern: students repeating full essays without a clear way to decide what to practise next. Broad advice such as “be creative” or “use good vocabulary” rarely gives a student a workable next step.

I built Selective Writing Test to make that practice loop clearer. The platform offers varied selective-style prompts, timed typed responses, criterion-level AI feedback and indicative practice bands. Those estimates are educational guidance, not official marks or rankings against the current test cohort.

The goal is practical: establish a baseline, focus on one priority, then compare later work with earlier evidence. The platform cannot promise a score lift or a school offer, but it can make the work and the next decision more visible.
